A simultaneous broadcast with Radio 1 - "Viewers served by Radio 1's FM stereo transmitters may wish to turn off TV sound and position their speakers on either side of the screen, but a few feet away. Stereo headphones provide a suitable alternative."
Radio 1 Stereo FM had only been available in London for TOTP for about a year before this episode. There was a nationwide FM rollout on this episode as the presenters go through the frequencies for different areas of the UK, so viewers can listen to the show in stereo on Radio 1 FM.
