Dave Cash

Dave Cash was a British radio presenter and DJ, celebrated as one of the pioneers of UK pop radio. Born in Bushey, Hertfordshire, Cash began his career in the 1960s on the pirate station Radio London, where he became a popular voice during the early days of offshore broadcasting.

He later joined BBC Radio 1 at its launch in 1967, and throughout his career, he hosted a variety of shows on BBC and commercial stations, including Capital Radio and BBC Radio Kent. Cash entertained generations of listeners over five decades, but sadly passed away in October 2016.

Dave Cash presented four editions of Top of the Pops between January and March 1968.
