One of the original Top of the Pops "disc girls" — who, in the show's earliest years, were filmed placing the actual vinyl on the turntable before the DJ introduced the next chart hit. Juste became one of the more recognisable faces of that role during the 1960s, at a time when the show's presentation was still finding its feet.
Juste was employed to sit next to the TOTP presenters and put the chart singles on a turntable and drop the needle on the record before acts such as the Hollies, the Searchers or the Swinging Blue Jeans mimed to their latest hit.
She's arguably best remembered today for what happened off-screen: her 1968 marriage to Micky Dolenz of The Monkees, whom she met around the time the band crossed paths with TOTP. The couple had a daughter, Ami Dolenz. Samantha Juste died in 2014.
