Trivia
After about a month, the new TOTP logo opening title sequence is canned, and the Top of the Pops titles from 1995 are reinstated. These remained in use until May 1998.
Fun fact - The opening titles and Julian Clary's introduction on this episode was featured on the Top of the Pops 40th anniversary DVD in 2004.
