2006-2012: The Final Countdown (Montage)
Upon the conclusion of the weekly editions of Top of the Pops on July 30, 2006, a revised opening title sequence was introduced, paying tribute to the program’s previous logos and opening title sequences. This updated opening title sequence incorporated nostalgic elements by splicing snippets of the previous four decades of TOTP logos and opening title sequences into the 2003 opening title sequence, while retaining the Now Get Out Of That (Remix) theme tune.
This revised opening title sequence remained in use for the subsequent six years of TOTP Christmas specials, being last used in December 2012.
