Dave Lee Travis
Top of the Pops ArchiveDave Lee Travis is a British disc jockey and radio presenter who rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s. He was perhaps best known as a presenter on the popular music chart show "Top of the Pops," where he became a household name in the UK.
Travis began his career as a radio presenter in the 1960s and went on to work for several major radio stations, including BBC Radio 1. He was known for his distinctive voice and his quirky sense of humor, which made him popular with audiences.
Travis presented "Top of the Pops" from 1974 to 1984.
As a result of a conviction in 2014, episodes of Top of the Pops that were presented by Travis are no longer repeated on TV.
