Mike Read
Top of the Pops ArchiveMike Read is a British radio and television presenter, best known for his role as a presenter on Top of the Pops. Read was born in 1947 in Manchester, Read began his broadcasting career as a DJ on Reading's Radio 210 before joining the Radio 1 in 1978.
In 1978, Read joined Top of the Pops as a regular presenter and went on to host the show for more than a decade. Mike Read guest co-presented the last weekly edition of Top of the Pops in July 2006.
